My Dad and Father-in-law are bookworms.. alwez reading something.
What would make a better gift for them than a bookmark...
so here is what I made for them -

The Bookworm idea came from - http://www.freecraftunlimited.com/bookworm.html
Although I really like the bookworm pattern, I did not want my bookworm to have a tail... so I crocheted a stick with deep brown yarn, slipped a wooden skewer inside so it stays straight like a branch and added my bookworm on top.
